Issues that people are concerned about: Public Transport
Public transport is a vital part of most Singaporeans lives. They use it to go to school, to work, to have fun and to return home. Hence, public transport is very important as Singapore is a tiny island and is not necessary to use a car to get around. There are two main companies which provide public transport for us. SMRT and SBS. As everyone says,'when there is competition, there is improvement'. These two companies may seem like they are rival companies but they are not competing with each other. Both companies deploy their buses on different routes and build their MRT at different locations, thus increasing their profit. So how can the public transport improve in terms of quality and service? Even without improving, the travel fares increase nonetheless. Why is that so? Ironically, public transports are public even though they are owned by private companies. Tell me your views in the comment box down below!
